13th European AYUDH Youth Summit 2017

AYUDH Europe presents its 13th annual European Youth Summit to be held in Germany from 15 - 23 July 2017.

Join 300 young people from 12 partner countries for an amazing week of learning, inspiration and exchange. The main theme of the summit is Educate. Cultivate. Participate. and will address some of the most urgent issues facing our world today—ranging from integration and cultural understanding to civic engagement and sustainable lifestyles

Participants will explore the theme of the Summit through hands-on experience and learning in three overarching categories -- peaceful and nonviolent societies, sustainable lifestyles and European and global citizenship -- with a focus on collaboratively developing Follow-Up projects which can be implemented in local communities.

AYUDH’s Youth Summit provides a unique platform for personal development, intercultural dialogue and creative expression through a combination of inspirational and motivational talks from guest speakers, working groups that foster personal, environmental and global responsibilities, and practical training in leadership, change-making, mindfulness and sustainability.

You can strengthen your sense of identity and solidarity while experiencing the joy and empowerment of living and learning together with like-minded youth from diverse backgrounds.

At AYUDH, we believe that personal transformation lies at the heart of lasting change. Therefore, in addition to cultural, social, political and ecological perspectives, we also consider a spiritual dimension when addressing the main themes of the Summit. The teachings of spiritual leader and humanitarian Amma (Mata Amritanandamayi) form an important part of this reflection.

This year's highlights include the iTAGe Interactive Panel and the multicultural festival 'OdenWorld'

Check out what expect below:

The Summit is co-funded by the European Union. It is carried out in partnership with Embracing the World, the UN Inter-Agency Network on Youth Development and the No Hate Speech Movement.

Our inspiration

AYUDH is inspired by Amma (Mata Amritanandamayi), one of the most respected humanitarians and spiritual leaders of this time. Her entire life has been dedicated to alleviating the pain of the poor and those suffering physically and emotionally. Through her own life Amma has consequently adhered to the principles of equality, non-violence and religious tolerance. Amma’s tireless efforts for the past 30 years have created a large network of charitable organizations, known collectively as Embracing the World.

Amma feels hope when she sees children like you in the world. You are all in the prime of life – you have energy, charisma and intellect
— Amma (Mata Amritanandamayi)
